Brian Tannebaum exclusively represents clients in the defense of criminal cases in state and federal court and in matters before The Florida Bar and The Florida Board of Bar Examiners.

He currently serves as Treasurer of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is a Past President of the Miami Chapter of The Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was appointed by the President of The Florida Bar to a three-year term on the Criminal Procedure Rules Committee after having served as Chair during his six-year term on the The Traffic Court Rules Committee.

A former American Bar Association National Trial Champion, Mr. Tannebaum began his career as a trial lawyer in the largest public defender's office in the State of Florida, where he handled hundreds of criminal cases. After entering private practice, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is one of only two members of the association to have received all three Presidential Service Awards. He is a frequent lecturer, having spoken at statewide and local seminars such as "Showcase on Sentencing," "Basic Criminal Law," "Practicing with Professionalism," and his own seminars entitled "The Practice," and "What Every Civil Lawyer Needs to Know About Criminal Law."

Mr. Tannebaum handles all criminal offenses, including misdemeanors, felonies, and federal white collar crimes.

His professional license practice involves defending those who find themselves having to answer to The Florida Bar or Florida Board of Bar Examiners. Mr. Tannebaum was appointed to a 3 year term on a Florida Bar Grievance Committee where he learned the process by which the Bar reprimands, suspends, and disbars lawyers. His article "The Bar Grievance Process," was published in the statewide magazine, Florida Defender.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Tannebaum is a legal consultant to the CBS Drama "CSI: Miami." He was voted "Best of the Bar" by the South Florida Business Journal and named the top 1.6% of all Florida criminal defense attorneys by Florida Trend Magazine four years in a row. He has also been named one of South Florida's "Top Lawyers" four years in a row in the South Florida Legal Guide, and named a "SuperLawyer" in the inaugural and second Florida edition of the nationally published SuperLawyers Magazine. 

In 2003, The National Law Journal recognized his acquittal in US v. Dow as one of the "Top 10 defense verdicts in the United States." He has also provided live trial commentary on Court TV, appeared on FOX's "The O-Reilly Factor, National Public Radio, and has been quoted throughout the world on criminal cases and issues.

In the community, he is President of the Ambassadors of Mercy Hospital and Chairman of the 11th Judicial Dictuit Historical Society.

In addition to the Florida Bar, Mr. Tannebaum is admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Daniel A. Weiss brings over 24 years of city, county and local government law experience to the firm.

Mr. Weiss represented the taxing authorities in administrative matters, litigation and appeals between 1981 and 1995 as a Miami-Dade Assistant County Attorney; served as Legal Special Master for the Miami-Dade County Value Adjustment Board from 1999-2000, and has represented municipalities and taxpayers in tax assessment, classification, exemption and collection matters since 1997.

Mr. Weiss has more than 70 published opinions to his credit including 55 property tax opinions, is co-author of Chapter 64 of the Florida Tax Service 2d, "Agriculture and Other Classified Properties" with Matthew Bender, and a lecturer on property taxation for the National Business Institute.

Mr. Weiss is a board member of Miami Beach Bar Association and is actively involved in the community as a Board Member of the Miami Beach Community Health Center, the Douglas Gardens Hospice and the Miami Beach Community Development Corporation. Mr. Weiss was born in and is a lifelong resident of Miami Beach.
