Daniel A. Weiss, partner at the Miami law firm of Tannebaum, Planas & Weiss, and a resident of Miami Beach, was named one of “Florida’s Legal Elite” by Florida Trend Magazine. “Florida’s Legal Elite” is an exclusive listing of 846 attorneys, or 1.6% of the entire 54,135-member Florida Bar who were selected by their peers for being the best of the best in Florida’s legal community.
The names were revealed in Florida Trend’s July edition.
Weiss, who focuses his law practice on property tax, real estate, and land use, was named under the Government Law section of the list. “I am very proud to be named as one of Florida’s Legal Elite,” said Weiss. “To be included alongside the most prominent lawyers in the state is an extraordinary honor.” Those who made “Florida’s Legal Elite” were voted on by their peers. Ballots were sent to all Florida Bar members and the top contact at 16,188 law firms across the state. They were asked to name lawyers whom they hold in the highest regard and would recommend to others. Each lawyer could submit only one ballot with votes for up to 10 attorneys. Lawyers could vote for members of their own firm so long as they voted for the same or greater number of attorneys outside their firm.
“The fact that my peers have the trust and confidence in my work to consider me for Florida’s Legal Elite makes this honor all the more gratifying,” said Weiss. Weiss’s partner, Brian L. Tannebaum, was also selected to “Florida’s Legal Elite.” He focuses his practice exclusively on criminal defense law.
